Sameiras Ribeiro
The Galician winery is built on what was formerly the building where their ancestors made and marketed wine. This stage began in 2002, when the original winery was enlarged and rebuilt, providing it with the most modern technology, thus giving way to the current winery, Sameirás.
Due to the inherited tradition, Sameirás tries to keep in mind the most traditional production systems learned from their ancestors, who have transmitted respect for the environment in which the vineyards are located, but always counting on the technological advances that are currently available and always maintaining the link between Origin, Tradition and Quality, fundamental pillars in the production of all Sameirás wines.
On the nose: Medium intensity, with a marked fruity character (white fruits), and notes of fennel bay leaf, cut grass and lees. Overall nice and expressive.
On the palate, light and clean with a vibrant acidity and persistent finish.

Interesting notes |
Sameiras is a small town in Galicia, in which the vineyards that produce the grapes of this wine are located. For personal, cultural, and emotional reasons, the current owners had a hard time buying those lands from the old farmers who did not worry too much about vineyards in which the current owners knew how to recognize their potential. |
