El Día de Reyes (Day of the Kings) is celebrated in Spain on 6th January to mark Epiphany and the day the Three Kings visited Baby Jesus.
On this day a ring-shaped, candied fruit and sugar-topped cake, known as Roscón de Reyes is eaten.
Traditionally, a small figurine is placed inside the cake and the lucky person who is served this slice and finds the figure is crowned King or Queen of the day’s festivities. However, tradition has it that whoever finds the hidden dried fava bean will have to buy the roscón the following year!
✔ Our Roscón de Reyes is freshly baked without preservatives.
