About the Producer
In 1874 Manuel Segura Esteban opened the doors of his sugar shop for the first time on Calle Mayor, 63 in Daroca (Zaragoza). On the ground floor of the building he had the store and on the upper floor he built the workshop where he made all kinds of sweets that his wife later sold in the store. Every afternoon, accompanied by a donkey, he would travel to nearby towns to offer his sweets.
Currently, six generations of pastry chefs later, Pastelerías Manuel Segura continues to be a business run by the same family, as well as one of the oldest pastry shops in Spain.
