Pittacum Aurea reflects the Mencía's fragrance, sweetness and minerality, and captures the wisdom of a century-old vineyard, the Finca Areixola. The estate has vines that are over 100 years old, and only allows manual intervention on the grapes. The grapes have never been touched by heavy machinery.
Elegant, Atlantic, fresh and with very ripe red fruit, Morello cherries and redcurrants. Its sweetness (sweet spices) is seductive on the nose and it performs most pleasantly on the palate. Juicy, meaty and with a refreshing minerality.
Recommended with roasts, game stews or grilled meat.
